                                                                    February 2009

Dear Friend:

Reach Out and Read Virginia's staff and volunteers have spent the first few weeks of February continuing to provide our 110 pediatric practices with new and gently used books that inspire children to read. books - clip art

We've also been gearing up for our first-ever RORVA Week, which will launch on March 2, the birthday of renowned author Dr. Seuss. From March 2-7, more than 25 businesses, schools, civic organizations and other groups throughout the Richmond region and across the state will host book drives on behalf of RORVA.

We're devoting this month's issue of the RORVA newsletter to our community supporters, to thank them for their generosity during February and/or for agreeing to participate in the upcoming RORVA Week.

To learn how your organization can raise literacy awareness and collect books or monetary donations that help change lives, one book at a time, contact us through the information provided below, in this newsletter.

Enjoy the rest of February and devour a good book!

Sincerely,

Sue Rockwell
